FAQ
Concentrate questions. Clear answers.
Fast answers on potency, concentrate types, legality, lab testing, drug tests, shipping, and how THCA concentrates compare to dispensary extracts.
What are THCA concentrates?
THCA concentrates are hemp-derived cannabis extracts made to deliver higher potency than standard
flower. They can come in different textures, including wax, shatter, diamonds, live resin, live rosin,
sugar, and crumble.
Are concentrates stronger than flower?
Usually, yes. Concentrates are more potent by weight than flower because they are concentrated cannabis
extracts. Start small, especially if you are new to dabs or high-potency products.
What is the difference between wax, shatter, sugar, and crumble?
The main difference is texture and consistency. Wax is soft and sticky. Shatter is firm and glass-like.
Sugar is wet and grainy with terpene-rich sauce. Crumble is drier and breaks apart easily.
What are THCA diamonds?
THCA diamonds are crystal-like concentrate formations that are usually high in THCA. They are often
combined with terpene sauce to add flavor and aroma.
What is live resin?
Live resin is made from fresh-frozen cannabis material instead of fully dried flower. This helps preserve
more terpenes, which can create stronger aroma, flavor, and strain-specific character.
What is live rosin?
Live rosin is a premium solventless concentrate made from fresh-frozen material using heat and pressure.
It is popular with customers who want clean flavor and a more craft-style concentrate.
Are THCA concentrates the same as dispensary dabs?
In real-world use, hemp-derived THCA concentrates may feel similar to dispensary concentrates depending
on potency, extract type, and terpene profile. The main difference is the compliance pathway and how
the product is tested, classified, and sold.
Do THCA concentrates get you high?
THCA can convert into THC when heated, and THC may cause intoxication. Effects vary by product,
potency, tolerance, and serving size.
Are THCA concentrates legal?
THCA concentrates are offered as hemp-derived products in qualifying markets, but laws vary by state.
Some states restrict or prohibit hemp-derived THC products. Always check the
Vertex State Legal Guide
before ordering.
Do I need to be 21 to purchase?
Yes. You must be at least 21 years old to purchase from Vertex Exotics.
Will THCA concentrates show up on a drug test?
Yes. If you are drug tested, do not use THCA concentrates. THCA can convert into THC when heated,
and drug tests commonly screen for THC metabolites.
Are Vertex Exotics concentrates lab-tested?
Yes. Concentrates should be lab-tested for cannabinoid potency and may also be tested for residual
solvents, pesticides, heavy metals, microbials, and other safety markers.
How should concentrates be stored?
Keep concentrates sealed, upright when possible, and away from heat, sunlight, and moisture. Some
terpene-rich extracts may store better in a cool environment.
Does Vertex Exotics ship concentrates nationwide?
Vertex Exotics ships eligible hemp-derived products where legally permitted. Product availability
and shipping eligibility depend on your state laws and current restrictions.
When will I get my package?
Orders placed before 3 PM EST ship the same day when possible. Delivery time is calculated based
on the shipping service selected at checkout. Carrier delays, weekends, holidays, weather, and
destination can affect final delivery time.
